Some decades back buying and selling of car was a very tricky and risky matter. Once the transaction was completed and the money was transferred and the previous owners would not take any guarantee regarding the proper functioning of the used cars. To take the advantage of this unethical practice many dishonest car dealers starting making ill deals for bad cars and earned a lot of money.
In those days buying a used car was avoided due to mistrust in the market created by the dishonest car dealers. Luxury car makers Lexus and Mercedes did not want their already sold cars with warranties still left to be labeled as “used cars”. To avoid this label they put in place an inspection for the cars still having warranties and the cars which passed those tests with flying colors were labeled as “certified”. The complete name for it was “Certified Pre-owned Vehicle” as the vehicle was already owned by someone.
This effort was really appreciated by the consumers who were earlier left to the mercy of the dishonest car dealers. Buying a used car with the label of “Certified Pre-owned Vehicle” gives the consumer a peace of mind that the vehicle he or she is purchasing is or has been brought up to the standards and has got extended warranties. For dealers it is a benefit as they can put any car through this inspection and if passed can sale it as consumers will now trust them with the label mentioning that the car has been through the inspection process and safe to buy.

If you’ve ever seen commercials with a used BMW driving through fall leaves, you might be lulled into thinking there are no hazards associated with fall driving. Unfortunately, wet leaves on the road can be every bit as slippery as ice and snow. Anytime the tires of your car cannot make direct contact with the road, you chances of skidding are greatly increased. If you are driving on dry leaves, the situation is not much better.
Aside from this, fall tends to be the time of year when wild animals are migrating, or even trying to escape from hunters. As a result, they may run right into the path of your car. If you have ever hit a deer, or watched a collision involving one, chances are you will never forget it. Even though many localities post dear crossing signs, it is always best to take extra precautions.
Typically, cheap car insurance will not cover a collision involving a wild animal. You will need to ask the insurance carrier to include a separate rider for this type of coverage. Even though it may be a few dollars more every month, you will have peace of mind knowing that you can get your vehicle repaired or replaced. For the most part, you should be able to obtain this coverage even if you drive very old used cars. In addition, if you have car loans, chances are the automobile lien holder will demand that you have this type of coverage.

Even with the soaring cost of gas, some people think they are ahead of everyone else because they managed to purchase an SUV. Aside from escalating harm to the environment, SUV drivers tend to be the type that does not belong on the road to begin with. When it comes to unsafe lane changes, running red lights, running stop signs, and talking on the cell phone, chances are you will catch an SUV driver doing it.
When it comes right down to it, driving an SUV sends a very anti-social message to everyone that sees you. To begin, you are flagrantly saying that you do not care about the environment. On top of that, you are saying you do not mind the fact that everyone around you must pay higher gas prices so that your SUV can go on guzzling gas. In addition, the way you drive is likely to tell everyone around you that you do not even care about your own safety, let alone theirs.
Therefore, one of the best reasons to refrain from purchasing SUV’s is stay out of this category of driver. Without a question, you will do your community and the planet a favor. You may even notice it is easier to get cheap car insurance and reduced interest on your car loans. In fact, you might want to take that entire savings and invest in a used BMW, or even a used Audi.
