Till late 1060s, the word classic muscle car was not even existent. The cars with powerful engines were at the most referred to as the super cars those used to dazzle the viewers at races. But the common man was not much aware of its utility in everyday life. These super cars were by far out of reach also due to their high price tags.
During 70s, good performance oriented cars are called as the muscle cars. They had a powerful V8 engine; they were designed in the intermediate sizes and had affordable price tags. Hot rods ruled the antique car markets since decades and their popularity is soaring high even today. The most important feature of the cars after 70 is that the manufacturers started focusing on the desires of common man and higher class together, thus making its use more widespread.
