Hot Rod – Are You Newbie To This Term?

Hot rods is a term given to the cars that inherits its body frame from an old cars or classic trucks built in late 1940’s and incorporates modern parts into it to enhance its performance and the efficiency and also replacing the old car color with the new paint job done to make the appearance looks better. These are also known as rat rods and street rods.
The modification mainly included the replacement of the engine and transmission of the vehicle. Sometimes replacement also included the brakes and steering. The engineers at that time were agreed to replace any part inside the car to increase the efficiency, performance and power of the car. And because of all these customization hot rods were the most heavily customized cars available at that time.
The hot rods got very famous in America and many hot rods appeared in a very short time span. The hot rod ruled the heart of the world till early 1960’s and was at its end by 1965. The hot rods era was then followed by muscle cars. But these classic roadsters really ruled their era that is why description of classic automobiles is incomplete without naming the hot rods.
