Mileage And Odometer Problems

Posted by Admin | Posted in Used Cars

The general recommendation for purchasing a used car, which has a high mileage, is in the negative. If the car has for instance done, 250,000 km or higher that is not an appealing number for a potential user car buyer. In another case, a low mileage would not most definitely indicate the fine quality of the car. No promises there!

A good used car would be the one where none of these issues would be at hand. Restoration is another problem and people buying or selling used cars need to be well aware of this otherwise they have a good chance of being conned. A series of accidents may have caused some serious amount of damage to the car, which may have rendered it useless until it went under restoration. This tiny or rather large bit of information is not something any dealer would like to unravel in front of any potential used car buyers.

Maintenance of the car is essential and if it has not been a part of the many things, being told to the buyer then there is a problem. Not just that the odometer being rolled back these days is also a problem because it is done so easily nowadays and without an ounce of trouble. If so, the buyer will not trust this dealer with even the slightest bit of information if he finds out he’s withheld any sort of records from him. It may cause a rift between the two parties. Truth in these matters is most important for a deal to go well, remain well and avoiding a lawsuit.
